Parker Dewey is an online platform where KU students can complete short-term, paid micro‑internships with employers across the country. These projects help students build real-world experience, explore career paths, and strengthen their résumés without the long-term commitment of a traditional internship. It’s a flexible way to gain professional skills, make connections, and showcase your abilities to potential employers.

Typically, micro-internships focus on one highly-specific project that will take roughly 5-40 hours of work, typically occur remotely, and generally occur over a two to four-week time period.
Why choose a Micro-Internship?
As a complement to your academic work and summer or semester-long internships, micro-internships let you:
- Learn and build skills employers look for when recruiting for internships and full-time positions
- Explore new industries and career paths
- Build relationships with employers by demonstrating your skills and abilities
- Add projects to your resume working with top employers
- Connect with employers who might not typically visit campus
