KU Mentoring+ is coordinated by KU Alumni in partnership with the School of Business, School of Engineering, School & Architecture & Design, and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. KU Mentoring was launched in 2018 and since that time over 16,500 Jayhawks have joined the community.The mentoring networks at KU provide a forum for individuals to share their knowledge and life experiences with other Jayhawks.

- Complete your profile fully, including your interests, career goals, and a short bio—this helps mentors or peers quickly understand how they can support you.
- Use the search filters (industry, major, identity groups, career stage) to find mentors or peers who match your goals and experiences.
- Send personalized connection requests, mentioning why you’re reaching out and what you hope to learn—specificity increases response rates.
- Participate in Groups and Discussion Boards to explore topics, ask questions, and connect with more members of the KU community.
- Set clear goals for each conversation—whether résumé feedback, career exploration, or networking advice—to get the most value from every interaction.
